AUSTIN, Tex. - Pet owners and animal rescue organizations have discovered Fundable.com as a way to generate funds for suffering dogs and cats. Fundable.com is a web site that provides simple online fundraising tools.
To use Fundable.com, a person creates a fundraising page by providing a description and entering how much money needs to be raised. Next, the person invites his or her supporters to visit the page and pledge money. Once enough pledges for a fundraising page have been secured, Fundable.com turns them into real payments and sends the total to the creator.
If a fundraising page expires before reaching its total in pledges, Fundable deletes all pledges and never charges money. This allows people to participate in a fundraiser without worrying about what others will do. No one pays until and unless everyone else makes a pledge.
